Plans are in place for Langside 450, the commemorative events to mark the anniversary of the battle of Langside, on Sunday 13th May.
A number of events and activities are taking place over the weekend, one of which is the procession, which will follow part of the route taken by Mary's army on the day of the battle.
The procession departs from the foot of the Lang Loan (at Langside Library) at about 1.25pm. It arrives at Queen's Park Arena at 2pm. A fanfare, written specially for the occasion by Gaynor Barradell, Composer of the Year for Scotland for Making Music, will be played to greet the procession.
